A professional wedding photographer living in the Fraser Valley of beautiful British Columbia!

I’m a wife of 18 years, mama to 3 beautiful humans, lover of Nikon and absolute hopeless romantic. I feel so incredibly lucky to get to do what I’m passionate about and I would be so honoured to share your special day with you.  I’m often asked what I’d describe my photography style is.  Clean, classic and romantic are three words that come to mind.  I am less of a “look at the camera” type and more of a “let’s showcase your connection” photographer.  Light and connection are the most important factors to my style. 

When I first started out professionally, I had intended on putting my focus entirely into family and children’s portraits.  On an October day in 2009, a friend who was a wedding photographer at the time, contacted me in a bind, her assistant that she had lined up for a wedding she was set to photograph the next day was unable to make it and she needed someone to come and help her.  The idea of wedding photography scared me a little.  The pressure of such a fast moving and important day… It was a little terrifying to think of having that kind of responsibility.  But I was excited to give it a try!  After that day, I was hooked.  I loved every single minute of it.  Getting to know new people, getting to share in one of the happiest days of their lives.  I didn’t stop smiling the entire day and I didn’t stop talking about how amazing the entire experience was for weeks to follow.  After that, I put myself out there with several other wedding photographers and offered to tag along to learn and gain experience before taking on my first solo wedding about 8 months later.  And well, the rest is history 🙂 I’ve since been a part of around 400 weddings (both second shooting and primary shooting).  One of my absolute favourite parts about photographing weddings is getting to follow along for years after, watching my couples become parents or documenting their family and friends weddings as well. 

I think laughter is the secret to all things incredible. I believe every picture I take should tell a story.  My goal is to make our time together feel like we’re just a couple of old friends hanging out together, telling jokes, having fun and making beautiful portraits together.   I’d love to connect over coffee or perhaps wine 😉 and chat about how we can make beautiful magic together while I capture your memories for you!
